Tattersalls wins David Steel Sustainable Buildings Award

July 6, By admin

Tatteralls; a development of 3 new houses, has been named as one of two winners of this year’s Oxford City Council David Steel Sustainable Buildings Award.

The David Steel Sustainable Building Award aims to recognise developments that incorporate environmentally friendly solutions within their design.

Tattersalls made use of ground source heat pumps, solar thermal massing and triple glazing amongst other sustainable technologies and achieved Level 4 of the Code for Sustainable Homes accreditation scheme.

The Lord Mayor of Oxford, Councillor Dee Sinclair said, “These two buildings deserve the award as they have worked hard to achieve the environmentally friendly solutions within their design. I hope it will encourage more developers to think about environmental issues when they build properties in the city.”
